Steve Kroft (pictured), famed news correspondent on the longtime running TV show “60 Minutes,” has reportedly spilled the tea on his three-year extra-marital affair with New York City attorney Lisa Goines (pictured below) who is also married, according to the New York Post.

The 69-year-old veteran correspondent, recipient of the prestigious Peabody Award, and nine-time Emmy winner’s illicit affair came to light in 2011 when the National Enquirer first got wind of his sexual romps with the 41-year-old lawyer.connatThe 23-years married Kroft, who once confronted former President Bill Clinton over his then-rumored womanizing when he was an Arkansas governor, reportedly convinced the Harvard-educated Goines he was trapped in a sexless marriage with his wife, author and fellow journalist Jennet Conant (pictured left), according to the Enquirer.

The affair, which reportedly included plenty of hot tête-à-tête meetings at romantic spots, hotel quickies, and X-rated texts, such as, “Working late. Just ordered out. Would rather be eating your pudding,” began a week after the two met at a famous New York City hotel bar.

Kroft and Goines allegedly arranged to meet at the famous Four Seasons Hotel in New York for their first hook-up session.  The room reportedly costs $700 a night.  “Steve booked the room for two nights,” the source explained. “The first night they had oral sex, and the second night, they went the whole way.”

The pair of lovers reportedly arranged their trysts in both New York and Washington, D.C., and as the affair progressed, Kroft, who has a reported net worth of about $16 million, was considered a “cheap skate,” according to the source, because he rarely flipped the bill for hotel stays.

Even though the pair seemed inseparable and sexually insatiable, the affair allegedly came to an end as neither Kroft nor Goines wanted to leave their significant others.  “Lisan never wanted him to leave his wife, and she never contemplated leaving her husband, and she told him it was best that it end,” the source said.

Still, even after the breakup, Kroft and Goines would reportedly meet up for drinks and chats.  “They looked like lovers,” a witness said. “It was electric. They chatted like old friends over a couple of cocktails and gazed in to each other’s eyes. They were completely smitten,” said an unnamed source.

In a statement to the New York Post, Kroft reportedly came clean about his indiscretion telling the news outlet in a statement:

“I had an extramarital affair that was a serious lapse of personal judgment and extremely hurtful to my wife and family, and for that I have nothing but regret.  My wife and I are committed to each other and are working hard to get past this, and consider it a private matter.  It’s a story you won’t see on “60 Minutes.”
